Melba Price
ADA-Services for Melba Alice Price, 96, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Mike Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Price died Thursday, July 9, 2015 at a Holdenville hospital. She was born January 27, 1919 at Ada to Wiley Howard and Mattie Cluck Cope.
She married William "Buck" Price May 5, 1935 in Ada. He preceded her in death April 15, 2004. Mrs. Price was a homemaker and a member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Charles Ray Price, Shawnee, Donald Lee Price and wife Annette and Melba Jean Davis and husband Joe, all of Ada, and Carol Sosbee-Gile and husband Merle, Oklahoma City; her grandchildren, Ronnie Price, Kenneth Price, Debbie Longoria, Bobby Price, Shawn Price, Randy Hurley, Kacee Poteet and Felecia Tatum; 17 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Jackie Howard Price; five brothers; and two sisters.
Bearers will be Ronnie Price, Kenneth Price, Bobby Price, Randy Hurley, Donny Price and Brandon Poteet. Honorary bearers will be Shawn Price and Jerry Dyer.
