Maxine Nester

Services for Maxine Nester, 90, of Byng are 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 4, 2024 at the Colbert Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Nester passed away Monday, September 30, 2024 at an Ada assisted living center. She was born October 30, 1933 at Dustin, Oklahoma to Bratton and Mae Shatswell McKinney. She married Charles Nester in 1948. He preceded her in death March 1, 2015.

Mrs. Nester was a seamstress for Wrangler until her retirement.

Survivors include two daughters, Kaye Bennett and Linda Priest; a brother, Bill McKinney and wife Beverly; six grandchildren, Mitchell Deaton and wife Shauna, Wes Bennett and wife Kelley, Sarah Bennett, Cody Priest and wife Tara, Keisha Lee, Colton Priest and wife Phyllis, Jason Nester and wife Shera and Jacob Nester; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Wayne Nester; sister, Helen Caldwell; and brother, Alvin McKinney.

Bearers will be her grandsons, Mitchell, Wes, Cody, Colton, Jacob and Jason.
