Max Ray Hudson passed away peacefully at age 85 on December 2, 2023 after a long and well lived life.  Max was born on July 13, 1938 to Joel and Lois Hudson in Roff, Oklahoma.

After graduating high school, Max served briefly in the U.S. Army Reserves and worked as a dredge captain in numerous states across the Southeastern U.S.  He settled in Ada, Oklahoma with his wife, Carolyn, and enjoyed fishing with his family, watching OU football and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.

Max is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Hudson, his younger brother, Bobby Hudson of Minneapolis, KS, and his granddaughter, Krista Hudson of Ada, OK.  He is survived by his brother, Dennis Hudson of Oklahoma City; by his children, Russell Hudson of Ada, OK, Shelley Russell of Sulphur, OK, and Damon Hudson of Pea Ridge, AR; by his step-children, Leslie Ross of Raleigh, NC, Jason Ross of Iowa Park, TX and Erica Ross of Oklahoma City, OK; and by several cousins, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Criswell Funeral Home in Ada, Oklahoma at 2:00 pm on January 6, 2024.

He is most fondly remembered by his easy-going and friendly manner, his loud laughter, and his optimism.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
