PIERRE WATTEAU
ADA-Graveside services for Maurice Lee "Pierre" Watteau, 71, of Ada are 11:00 a.m Saturday at Denney Cemetery, Rev. David Gray will officiate.
Mr. Watteau died Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at a local hospital. He was born November 12, 1940 in Dewar, Oklahoma to Adolph and Elizabeth Williams Watteau. He attended Dewar schools and graduated from Dewar High School.
He married Robbie Mae Reed on April 16, 1987. Mr. Watteau was a labor foreman with South Western Power Company until his retirement and later he was the groundskeeper at Kerr-Lab Water Research. He was a member of the Henryetta Lodge AF & AM, and the Ada Lodge #1640. Mr. Watteau served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Robbie Watteau, of the home; his children, Susan Wheeler and husband Paul of Ada, Brian Watteau and wife Sebrina of Dyer, AR, Melinda Hubble and husband Richard of Ada, Angela Specht and husband Bryan of Francis, and Bobby Sheffield of Paris, AR; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Amy, Brandon, Jaden, Raelen, Erika, Trevor, Scott, Ricky and Aaron; his great grandchildren, Treyson, Paisley and Bradley; two sisters, Jean Ann Sherrill of Dewar, and Blanche Dickey of Henryetta; and all of his extended family.
Bearers will be Brian Watteau, Paul Wheeler, Bryan Specht, Roy Hinkle, Henry Hoover, and Chris Foster. Honorary bearers will be Brandon Watteau, Michael Tyner, Bruce Wright, and Ricky Hoover.
