MARY WILSON
ADA-Services for Mary Raye Wilson, 77, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Monday at Trinity Baptist Church, Dr. Rusty Fuller and Rev. David Gray will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Wilson died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at a local hospital. She was born February 25, 1930 in the Tyrola community, north of Byng to Ray and Ruby Knight Uhlich. She attended Maud schools and graduated from Maud High School in 1948.
She married Sheldon "Corky" Wilson on February 20, 1954 at Fittstown, Oklahoma. She and her family moved to Ada in June 1961 from Healdton, Oklahoma. Mrs. Wilson was employed with Citizens Bank in the early 1970's, and later was a cashier for People's Electric Cooperative, retiring in February, 1992 with over 21 years of service. She was a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church, Business and Professional Women, and the VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Corky Wilson, of the home; three daughters, Terri Pierce, Ada, Debbie Compton, Ada, and Vicki Reiling and husband Jim, Ada; one son, Lynn Wilson and wife Trisha, Ada; five grandchildren, Cyndi Roark and husband Casey, Midwest City, Matt Pierce, Shawnee, Brad Compton and wife Keressa, Ada, Karlie Wilson, Ada, and Kacie Wilson, Ada; a one great grandson, Carter Roark, Midwest City; a brother, Floyd Uhlich and wife Joyce, Edmond; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Chester Uhlich.
Bearers will be Lanny Glasscock, Ken Roberts, Bob Stroud, Robert Pierce, Stan Compton, and Roy Bateman. Honorary bearers will be her Sunday school class.
