MURRYEL NYE
CLAREMORE-Services for Mary Murryel Nye, 82, of Claremore, formerly of the Ada area, are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Chapel. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Nye died Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at a Claremore nursing home. She was born May 12, 1926 at Ada, Oklahoma to Walker and Maude Rose Tilley. She grew up in the Worstell Community, and attended Walnut Grove and Vanoss schools. She lived in California most of her life and returned to Oklahoma in 1998.
She married Delmer Nye in May 1984. He preceded her in death in February 1995. Mrs. Nye was a homemaker and affiliated with the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include three sons, Wayne Tate and wife Marianne, Ogden, Utah, Larry Tate and wife Barbara, Amarillo, Texas, and Darrell Tate and wife Beau, Hope, Arkansas; one brother, Jim Tilley, Sand Springs; one sister, Betty Flippo, Tulsa; several nieces and nephews; ten grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Edith James, Edna Watkins, Evelyn Blakley, and Wanda Goodpasture; and three brothers, Dewey Tilley, Rob Tilley, and Jack Tilley.
Bearers are Wayne Tate, Larry Tate, Darrell Tate, James Tilley, Darren Tate, Keith Tate and Christopher Tate.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Claremore nursing home staff for the care of Murryel.
