MARY MARCUM

PICKETT-Services for Mary Lou Duncan Marcum, 61, Pickett, are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Earl Hood will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Marcum died Monday, November 19, 2007 at her home. She was born August 26, 1946 at Ada, Oklahoma to Bruce and Augusta "Gussie" Sarratt McGuire. She lived in this area all her life. She attended Byng schools and graduated from Byng High School.

She married Jimmie Marcum in April 1997. Mrs. Marcum was the owner and operator of a domestic cleaning service. Previously, she was employed as a bookkeeper at M.A.C. Marine Service, Dresser-Titan Tool Company, General Tire, Solo Cup Company, and Blue Bell. She was affiliated with Center Free Will Baptist Church and was currently the secretary-treasurer of the Oil Center Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmie Marcum, of the home; a son, Marty Duncan and wife Celeste, Ada; a daughter, Stacy Davis, Ada; a grandson whom she reared, Virgil Davis, of the home; four step-children, Eddy Marcum and wife Rhonda, Ada, Sonya Hodge and Scotty Bishop, Ada, Tracy Grant and husband Terry, Ada, and Tennille Page and husband Bobby, Stratford; 13 grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Folger and husband Jerry, Ada, and Annie Maud Mayo, Wayne; and a brother, David (Jr.) McGuire, Wyoming.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde McGuire and her step-father, Manley Maddox.

Bearers will be Richard Byrd, Todd Ray, Bobby Bottoms, John Woods, James Smith, and Jimmy Dew. Honorary bearers will be Sam Estes, Alvin Shores, Keith Harper, and the Oil Center Firefighters.
