MARY FRANCES LOVE
ADA-Graveside services for Mary Frances Love, 83, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Maxwell Cemetery, Rev. Don Sayre will officiate.
Mrs. Love died Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at a local nursing home. She was born May 7, 1926 at Columbus, Georgia to Alexander and Maggie Mae Smith. She attended school in Columbus, Georgia and moved to Ada in 1955.
She married Harold Love on June 9, 1955 at Ada and was employed with Denco Bus Lines. After moving to Tishomingo for two years, they returned to Ada where she spent the rest of her life being a homemaker, tending her garden, camping, fishing and caring for her family and friends. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Love, of the home; three daughters, Sandra Davis, Hamilton, Georgia, Linda Harrison and husband Doug, Phoenix City, Alabama, and Burlene Arnett, Paducah, Kentucky; two sons, James Henderson, Lee County, Alabama and Leon Higdon, Cataula, Georgia; a brother, Harry Smith and wife Betty Ann, Calvert City, Kentucky; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Dell Waters, sisters, Emma Lou Travis, Betty Whittley and Clarice Scholes, and a brother, Bud Smith.
Bearers will be members of her Sunday school Fellowship Class.
