MARY ANDERSON

ADA-Services for Mary Kathryn Anderson, 71, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Max Alley will officiate. A Committal service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Stroud Cemetery.

Mrs. Anderson died Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at a Shawnee hospital. She was born January 6, 1937 at Stroud, Oklahoma to Jess Scott and Needa Pearl Barnett Alley. She attended Stroud schools and graduated from East Central University in 1982 with a degree in Nursing.

She married Elton Anderson in 1961 at Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death February 3, 2000. Mrs. Anderson was a Registered Nurse at Valley View Regional Hospital retiring after 35 years of service. Later, she worked part-time at Jan Frances Care Center and Ballard Nursing home.

Survivors include two sons, James Anderson, Ada, and Bobby Anderson and wife Dena, Oil Center; five grandchildren, Jesse Anderson and wife Phileshia, Ada, Ash Anderson, Ada, Evan Anderson, Oil Center, Logan Anderson, Oil Center, and Lexi Anderson, Oil Center; four great grandchildren, Jesseca Anderson, Kylee Anderson, Ashton Anderson, and Acen Anderson; one brother, Max Alley, Tulsa; and three sisters, Martha Cushing, Stroud, Mollie Sue Pryor, Stroud, and Marilyn Brown Sparks.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson, Ryan Anderson, and a brother, Scott Alley.

Bearers will be Jesse Anderson, Ash Anderson, Evan Anderson, Joe Lippert, Eric Pryor, and John Cushing.
