ADA-Services for Mary G. "Gwen" Sullivan, 86, Ada, are 11 a.m. Saturday at Criswell Funeral Home. Kirk Jones will officiate and burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Sullivan died Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, at a Tulsa nursing center. She was born Feb. 21, 1927, to Dan and Juanita Hemmingway Grantham in Missouri. She graduated from Fort Scott High School and attended college in Fort Scott. Mrs. Sullivan was employed as a nurse and a member of the First Christian Church and the Ada Elks Lodge.
Mrs. Sullivan and Thomas Sandy Sullivan were married Oct. 21, 1950, at Fort Scott. He died June 29, 1999, at Ada.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Michael and Vicki Weaver, Janet and Dave Barnett, Kayt Pierce and Chelsea Weaver, all of Tulsa.
Mrs. Sullivan was preceded in death by a son, Bruce S. Sullivan.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, or St. John Hospice, 4720 S. Harvard Ave #202, Tulsa, OK, 74135.
