Obituary

ADA-Services for Mary Lou Cothren, 81, Ada, are 10 a.m. Monday at Center Free Will Baptist Church, the Rev. Earl Hood officiating. Burial will follow at Lightening Ridge.
Mrs. Cothren died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at her home. She was born Sept. 29, 1931, to W.H. and Nora Coleman McManus at Weona, Arkansas. She came to the Ada area as a child and attended grade school at Maxwell and Cottonwood and high school at Stratford. Mrs. Cothren was employed as a caregiver and had worked several years at Vanoss School as a cook. She was a member of Center Free Will Baptist Church.
She and Roy Cothren were married Jan. 20, 1948. He died Dec. 2, 1985.
Survivors include a son, Wayne Cothren and wife Laura, Vanoss; a daughter, Joyce Thomas and husband Bill, Shady Point; grandchildren, Jeremy and Cammy Cothren, Wendi and Chad Delozier, Justin and Christina Thomas and Heather and Charlie Burton; and great-grandchildren, Devin Cothren, Trenton Cothren, Dawson Cothren, Savannah Delozier, Kinley Delozier, Heaven Thomas, Caitlyn Thomas, Addison Thomas, Jordan Loyd, Jayda Burton and Blaze Burton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, James McManus and Ed McManus and a sister, Maudie Hampton.
Bearers are Jeremy Cothren, Devin Cothren, Trenton Cothren, Chad Delozier, Justin Thomas and Sam Kuhlmann.
Great-grandchildren will serve as honorary bearers.
