MARY ABBOTT- GOLDEN
ADA- Graveside services for Mary Bell Abbott-Golden, 90, of Ada, are 10:00 A.M. Thursday at New Bethel Cemetery, Rev. Frank Trent officiating.
Ms.Abbott-Golden died Monday, September 9, 2013 at a local nursing home. She was born August 21, 1923 in Beggs, Oklahoma to Burton and Lenora Meadows Dunham. She attended Byng schools and was a homemaker. She married Lester O. Abbott April 18, 1942 and he preceded her in death August 1, 1980. She later married Sam Golden and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Curtis Abbott and wife Suzi, Ada; James Abbott and wife Jan, Ada; daughter-in-law Linda Abbott, Slaton, TX; son-in-law Johnny Sanders, Pickett; Sandra Shumard whom she reared; seven grandchildren Monica Linder, Pam Jeffrey, Brenda Pasquali, Cindy Abbott, Tammy Bliss, Debbie Forster and Jamie Abbott and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Evelyn Sanders; son, Douglas Abbott; infant daughter, Barbara June Abbott; two grandsons, Ricky Stegall and Kenny Abbott; great grandson, Joshua Murray and great granddaughter, Kara Stegall.
