BERNICE HILL

ADA-Services for Martha Bernice Hill, 87, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Southwest Church of Christ, Floyd Kaiser will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hill died Monday, July 19, 2010 at an assisted living center in Ada. She was born September 15, 1922 at Daugherty, Oklahoma to Jess Hodge and Palina Jewell Bryant Gordon. She graduated from Lawton High School.

She married Haskell H. Hill on December 21, 1940. They moved to Ada in 1959 from Shattuck, Oklahoma. Mr. Hill preceded her in death on April 25, 2001. Mrs. Hill was a homemaker and an avid seamstress. She and her husband were active in the Ada Hobo's Club and she was a longtime active member of Southwest Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons, Hodge Hill and wife Anne, Huntington Beach, CA, and Randy Hill and wife Evelyn, Newkirk, OK; two daughters, Martha Threlkeld and husband Jim, Allen, TX, and Sandra Horton and husband Kenneth, Muskogee, OK; her grandchildren, Krysla and Abel Garduno, Wendy and Thomas Kesler, Renne and Stacy Foley, Stephanie and Shon Wainscott, Daniel Hill and Philip Hill, Greg and Sarah Andrews, Chris and Kym Andrews, Kim and Rob Sibbrel, Johnny and Tina Horton, Linda Byrd, and Shellie Horton; great grandchildren, Payne, Madie and Alli Kesler; Colin Karlix; Alexander Garduno; Hayden Foley; and Savannah and Landry Robinson; twenty-two step great grandchildren; and seven step great great grandchildren; two sisters, Ann Steele and husband Bob, Ada, OK, and Autie Smith, Palm Desert, CA; a brother, Kenneth Gordon and wife Sandi, Longmont, CO; a sister-in-law, Yvonne Gordon, Midwest City, OK; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leroy and Lorene Hill, Davis, OK.

Bearers will be her grandsons: Daniel Hill, Philip Hill, Payne Kesler, Thomas Kesler, Colin Karlix, and Landry Robinson. Honorary bearer will be Alexander Garduno.
