Martha Griffin

Services for Martha R. Griffin, 91, of Ada will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2025, at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel; Rev. Randall Christy will officiate.  Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Griffin passed away Friday, October 31, 2025, at her home.  She was born December 8, 1933, in Sulphur to Murton and Elizabeth Fagan Rice.

Martha was a tireless civic worker who paved the way for women's involvement in civic activities in Ada.  She was the first woman to serve on the Valley View Hospital Board and she campaigned to raise funds to build the current hospital facility.  Martha served for many years on the Salvation Army Advisory Board, the Ada Regional United Way Board, and was a long-time active member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include her cousins, Don and Peggy Dugan of Idabel; two grandchildren, Haley Hardcastle and Lauren Trusty and husband Justin; and two great grandchildren, Oliver Trusty and Lillain Trusty.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marcus Griffin; two daughters, Marsha Hardcastle and Whitney Griffin; and brother, Emmett Rice.
