MARSHALL MCGEHEE

FITTSTOWN-Services for Marshall Lee McGehee, 95, Fittstown, are 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Southwest Church of Christ in Ada, Danny Stewart will officiate. Burial will follow at Pontotoc Cemetery in Pontotoc, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. McGehee died Friday, October 26, 2007 at his son's home. He was born July 13, 1912 at Jesse, Oklahoma to John Burton and Mary Jarrett McGehee.

He married Earlene Gladys Winton on May 21, 1932. She died January 8, 1993 in Ada. He later married Beverly Jennings on July 28, 1993. Mr. McGehee formerly worked in the oilfields, and later worked for Pontotoc County District #3 until his retirement. He was also a farmer and rancher. Mr. McGehee was a longtime member of the Fittstown Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly McGehee, of the home; two daughters, Mary Jo Whitwell and husband Robert, Ada, and Ola Mae Morrow and husband Jim, Norman; three sons, Roy McGehee and wife Jodi, Stonewall, Morris McGehee and wife Jeannie, Ada, and Floyd McGehee and wife Dava, Noble; two step-daughters, Diane Smith and husband Chris, Tulsa, Jeannine Rutherford and husband Bob, Stonewall; one step-son, Randy Jennings and wife Wanda, Fittstown; one sister, Vera Collier and husband John, Ada; ten grandchildren, Lisa Whitwell Johnston and husband Pete, Ada, Dennis Morrow and wife Donna, Noble, Susan Whitwell Malone and husband Greg, Cincinnati, Ohio, Bobby Joe Morrow, Noble, Diana McGehee Bird and husband Jason, Meridian, Mississippi, Marisa McGehee Wilson and husband Curtis, Ada, Bill McGehee, Jesse, Michael McGehee and wife Shelley, Pocola, Kimberly McGehee Doughty and husband Steven, Lawton, and Kyle McGehee and wife Jessica, Norman; 4 step-grandchildren, MaRanda Rutherford Horton and husband Larry, Fittstown, Deena Jennings Sanders and husband Jason, Fittstown, VaNessa Rutherford Seals, Stonewall, and Daniel Jennings and wife Ilene, Jesse;17 great grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Darnell McGehee, and three sisters, Mary McGehee, Ruell Thomas, and Tennie Wyche.

Bearers will be his grandsons. Honorary bearers will be Jerry Morgan, Rick Coleman, Buck Crabtree, R. V. Brady, and Sammy Townsend.
