MARSHALL FENNELL

FITZHUGH-Services for Marshall Thomas Fennell, 86, Fitzhugh, are 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Fitzhugh Baptist Church, Rev. Steve Wilburn will officiate. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery, Roff.

Mr. Fennell died Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at a local hospital. He was born December 29, 1921 at Rufe, Oklahoma to John Thomas and Ida Bell Choate Fennell. He and his family moved to the Roff area about 1932. He attended Rufe schools.

He married Nellie Bee Hinley on September 16, 1943. Mr. Fennell was a welder with Ada Iron and Metal and later with Solo Cup Company until his retirement. He was a member of the Fitzhugh Baptist Church and had served in the U. S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Nellie Fennell, of the home; two sons, Allen Wayne Fennell, Ada, and Marshall Thomas Fennell, Jr., Mangum; two daughters, Linda Kay Grant and husband Gary, Ada, and Rita Thompson and husband Rex, Duncan; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Fennell, Duncan; four brothers, Monroe Fennell, Roff, Bob Fennell, Ada, Leroy Fennell, Sulphur, and Johnny Fennell, Clifton Park, New York; two sisters, Faye Fritts, Colorado, and Margie Antone, California; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Bill Fennell and a sister, Lottie Mae Fennell.

Bearers will be Michael Wallace, Erik Roger Grant, Branch Hague, Zachary Fennell, Joe Bradshaw, and Joey Morrow.
