MARSHALL COX
ADA- Services for Marshall Crawford Cox, III, 72, of Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church, Rev. Toby Willoughby will officiate. Burial will follow at Maxwell Cemetery.
Mr. Cox died, Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, at a local hospital. He was born October 14, 1941, at the Maxwell Community to M.C. Cox, Jr. and Mary McGuffee Cox. He graduated from Vanoss High School.
He married Beth Baze on May 30, 1980. Mr. Cox served in the United States Army Reserve and attended college at Eastern Oklahoma State and East Central University. Mr. Cox was Pontotoc County Commissioner for district two from 1990 until 1996. He owned and operated his own backhoe service.
Survivors include his wife, Beth Cox, of the home; one daughter, Terri Manuel and husband Jerry of Ada; and three grandchildren, Chase Dixon, Marshall Manuel and Seth Manuel.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Syllis Manuel.
Honorary bearers are Jerry Manuel, Richard Teel, Cub Biggs, Bob Fox and Dennis Thurman.
