MARJORIE SNEED
ADA-Services for Marjorie Leene Sneed, 87, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Asbury United Methodist Church, Revs. Don Griffin and Bob Langston will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Ms. Sneed died Friday, October 30, 2009 at her home. She was born July 1, 1922 at Ada, Oklahoma to Roy L. and Gertrude Cassidy Sneed. She lived in this area all her life, attended Irving grade school and graduated from Ada High School in 1940. She received Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees from East Central University. Ms. Sneed was the registrar at Ada High School for thirty-eight years, retiring in 1984. She was a longtime member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Charlotte Landrith and husband Paul, Ada; a niece, Paula E. Roberts, Ada; a nephew, Thomas S. Landrith and wife Gayle, Ada; great nieces and great nephews, Ryan and Kathy Roberts, Bixby, Allyson and Steve Carson, Oklahoma City, Matt and Hollie Landrith, Houston, TX, and Meredith and Britt Morris, Ardmore; and nine great great nieces and nephews.
Bearers will be her nephews, Matt Landrith, Ryan Roberts, Steve Carson, Britt Morris, Douglas Kelley and Chester Sneed. Honorary bearers will be the members of the Asbury United Methodist Church.
