Graveside services for Marilyn Sherrell are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Green Hill Cemetery in Davis, Rev. Jerry Wells will officiate.
Marilyn Rose (Myers) Sherrell, of Ada, OK was born July 18, 1942 to the late David E Myers Sr and Rosetta "Tinnie" Mae (Moore) Myers. She took her first breath in heaven on November 13, 2023.
Marilyn was raised and attended school in Cushing, OK.
Marilyn attended First Baptist Church in Cushing, OK where she found the Lord and was baptized with her two older sisters Patricia and Margaret, when she was 11 years old.
She loved her Savior and family very much. She grew up with six sisters and two brothers. There was never a dull moment at our house. She was a huge Elvis Presley fan. Too many memories to count.
On November 20, 1980, she married Paul Michael Sherrell. This is when her life truly began. They made a beautiful couple, with the love for their Lord and Savior in common.
Marilyn and Mike waited patiently for the Lord to bless them with child. The Lord blessed them with their son Cristofor, whom they loved greatly. Cristofor then blessed them with two beautiful grandsons and two granddaughters. Her life was full. She was truly blest.
Marilyn was proceeded in death by her father, David E Myers Sr, mother, Rosetta "Tinnie" Mae (Moore) Myers, two sisters, Patricia Lee Williams and Etta Mae Cooper, and one brother, David E Myers Jr.
Survivors include: her husband, Paul Michael Sherrell of Ada, OK, her son and daughter-in-law, Cristofor and Taylor Sherrell of Gladstone, MO, two grandsons, Gabriel and Brooks Sherrell of Gladstone, MO, two granddaughters, Allison and Brooks of Gladstone, MO, four sisters, Margaret McLaury of Lone Grove, OK, Virginia Yousey of Piedmont, OK, Ernestine Somers of Lone Grove, OK, Dale Smith of Ada, OK, brother, Roy Myers of Cushing, OK, and brother-in-laws and many nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking that you make donations to St Jude's Children's Research.
