MARIE HICKEY
ADA-Services for Mae Marie Hickey, 92, of Ada are 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2013 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. David Sutton will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Hickey died Saturday, December 21, 2013 at a Plano, Texas nursing home. She was born December 2, 1921 in the Pecan Grove Community, south of Ada, Oklahoma to Abram S. and Lillia Howard Dew. She attended Pecan Grove grade school and graduated from Latta High School.
She married Willard C. Hickey on February 7, 1947 in Ada. He preceded her in death on November 12, 1990 in Ada. Mrs. Hickey was employed with the Ada Evening News in the Classified Advertising Department for over 30 years. She and her husband were longtime members of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Ada.
Survivors include her daughters, Carol Davis and her husband Skip of Richardson, TX, and Nancy Osborn of Knoxville, TN; three grandsons; two great grandsons; a sister, Mamie Lou Frazier; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Abe and Lily Dew; her husband, Willard C. Hickey; brothers, James Dew, Orvin (Doc) Dew, and Frank Dew; and a sister, Minna Lee (Bea) Falvo.
Bearers will be Thurman Rinehart, Johnny Thompson, James Presley and James Mouser.
