ADA-Graveside services for Margret "Joann" Flowers, 74, Ada, are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Swan Hill Cemetery, Rev. Sean McKinney officiating.
Mrs. Flowers died on Friday, June 20, 2008, at a local nursing home. She was born March 16, 1934, in Ada to Wilburn Ray and Leona Bell Lancaster Poindexter. She was a homemaker and member of Evangelistic Temple.
She married James Franklin Flowers on April 5, 1957. He preceded her in death on June 1, 2000.
Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Flowers, Greenville, Texas; and Tammy McKinney and husband Sean, Stratford; one brother, Carson Poindexter, Ada; eight grandchildren, Daniel Geiser, Ada; Marcus Henry, Ada; Amanda Jackson, Plano, Texas; Kim Williams, Oklahoma City; Hanna McKinney, Karson McKinney, Harli McKinney and Axel McKinney, all of Stratford; and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Lucas Henry, in 1980; and three brothers, David, Phillip, and Lawrence Poindexter.
Bearers are grandsons: Daniel Geiser, Marcus Henry, Roy Williams, Santee Jackson and Matthew Williams.
