MARGIE SLIGER
DALLAS, TEXAS-Services for Margie Ruth Sliger, 82, Dallas, TX, formerly of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Carl Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada.
Mrs. Sliger died Thursday, June 3, 2010 at a Dallas, TX hospital. She was born October 12, 1927 at Ada, Oklahoma to Claud J. and Hester Anderson Tiner. She attended Vanoss schools and graduated from Vanoss High School.
She married Ray Sliger on October 8, 1966 at Durant, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on December 2, 1992 in Ada. They lived in Stonewall and Roff. Mrs. Sliger was a homemaker and affiliated with the Church of Christ.
Survivors include three sons, Dewitt Houchen, Helena, OK, Gary Houchen, Balch Springs, TX, and Tex Houchen, Marshall, TX; a step-son, Elton Sliger, Barry, TX; sixteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a brother, Wayne Tiner, Ada; and two sisters, Beatrice McDonald, Stratford, and Patsy Arney, Oklahoma City.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Houchen and Milton Houchen; and a step-daughter, Leta Townsend.
Bearers will be her grandsons, Gary Wayne Houchen, Charles Dale Houchen, James Houchen, Jeff Houchen, Randy Sliger and Rick Sliger.
