MARGARET WHITWELL
ADA-Services for Hannah Margaret Whitwell, 78, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Barry Lancaster and James Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Whitwell died Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at a local nursing home. She was born July 7, 1935 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Benson and Hillard Ward Anderson. She attended New Iberia, Louisiana schools and later moved to the Ada area in 1971.
She married Alfred Etter. He preceded her in death on April 29, 1991. She later married Melvin Whitwell on October 20, 1995. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2009. Mrs. Whitwell was employed at McCall's Chapel and she was also a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include three sons, Standle Anderson and wife Christine, Ada, Charles Anderson and wife Patty, Ada, and John Anderson, Lawton; two daughters, JoAnn Page and husband Ed, Rogers, AR, and Patricia Lancaster and husband Barry, Allen; sister, Katy Fuesling and husband Lauren, Houston, TX, a brother, John Anderson, New Iberia, LA; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren
Bearers will be Standle Anderson, Jr., Chad McConnell, James Jackson, Roy Austin, Monty Armstrong, Roger Flowers and Josh Morrison.
