IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret Ann
Hill
May 17, 1946 – January 31, 2024
Margaret "Peggy" Ann Hill, aged 77, passed away peacefully on 31 January 2024 in Ada, OK, surrounded by her immediate family.
Born on 17 May 1946 in Fort Victoria, Rhodesia, Africa, Margaret Ann Hill was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.
Margaret graduated from Greenville College in Greenville, IL, and served as a Free Methodist missionary to the Republic of South Africa from 1974 to 1990, and dedicated minister alongside her husband Rev. David C. Hill in California, Illinois, and Indiana.
Peggy was kind, caring and generous, always looking to serve and care for others. Peggy was an ardent prayer warrior, praying for family, friends, and those in need. Peggy enjoyed quilting and making cards to encourage others.
The memorial service to celebrate Margaret's life will be held on Saturday 3 February 2024 at 10am at the Asbury United Methodist Church of Ada, OK. An additional memorial service will be held in Greenville, IL at a date in the future.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to SOAR, Ada, OK (https://www.soarrehab.org/), Greenville University, Greenville, IL (https://www.greenville.edu/), or Eden's Glory, Illinois (https://edensglory.org/home), organizations that Margaret Ann Hill held close to her heart and supported often.
Margaret Ann Hill is survived by her husband David C. Hill; son Brandon D. Hill; daughter Amanda C. Tippey and son-in-law James Tippey, Jr; grandchildren Levi Hill, James Tippey III, Charise Tippey, Katelynne Tippey, Kierstin Tippey, Bennett Tippey, Aurora Tippey, and Elliott Tippey; and sisters, Linda Marcy, Nancy Barnes, Joan Monaghan, and Patricia Wagner. We know that Margaret is peacefully reunited with her father Eldon B. Sayre and mother Florence Ann Sayre who served as missionaries in Rhodesia, Africa for thirty years.
Margaret's memory will forever be cherished, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
