ADA-Services for Margaret Elaine Courtright, 65, of Ada, formerly of Reno, Nevada are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ on 33rd Street, Jimmy Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ms. Courtright died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at a local nursing home. She was born April 30, 1947 in Pittsburg, California to Earl James and Dora Maxine Wallis Smith. She was reared by her mother and step-father, James Calhoun. She graduated from Chickasha High School in Chickasha, Oklahoma and also graduated from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha.
Ms. Courtright was employed by the U. S. Forestry Service for 40 years as a budget analyst. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Ms. Courtright moved to Ada in May from Reno, Nevada.
Survivors include a son, James Courtright and his wife Leslie of Hurricane, Utah; a daughter, Tracy Iams and husband Donald of Keno, Oregon; her mother, Dora Calhoun and her step-father, James Calhoun of Ada; three brothers, Ron Smith and wife Darlene of Ada, Michael Smith of Newport, AR, and Duane Calhoun and wife Judy of Edmond; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Garrison, Nathanael, Hannah, Marissa, Lindsay, Emilee, Sophia and Yesmin.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Smith; and her grandparents, James and Anna Wallis and James and Anna Smith.
