Lorene Harris

Services for Maranda "Lorene" Harris, 91, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Revs. Willie White and Earl Scroggins will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery near Francis.

Mrs. Harris passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at a local hospital. She was born May 21, 1926 at Norman to Benjamin and Grace Barnhill Canfield. She graduated from Noble High School.

She married Loyd Franklin "Babe" Harris February 7, 1946 at Oklahoma City. He preceded her in death December 6, 1977. Mrs. Harris was a Home Health Aide for the Pontotoc County Health Department and a member of Cedar Grove Free Will Baptist Church for over 70 years.

Survivors include her children, Susan Scroggins and her husband Robert and Tim Harris and his wife Trisha, all of Francis and a son, Jerald Harris and his wife Tricia of Spencer, IA; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Alfred Canfield of Maud; and other loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Dennis Harris; daughter, Rita Harris; sister, Silby Coombes; and a brother, Edwin Canfield.

The family says memorials may be made to the Francis-Cedar Grove Cemetery Fund, P. O. Box 274, Francis, OK 74844.

Bearers will be her grandsons.
