MADELINE SORRELLS
ADA-Services for Madeline Sorrells, 95, Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, George Seaton will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Sorrells died Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at a local hospital. She was born January 8, 1914 at Tishomingo, Oklahoma to W. A. and Marie McDonald Newton. She moved to Ada about 1932 and attended Murray State College and East Central College.
She married Tom J. Sorrells in March, 1938. He preceded her in death December 30, 1995. Mrs. Sorrells was a homemaker and she and her husband were members of the Ada Hobos Club.
Survivors include a sister, Pansy Bates, Ada.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, W. A. Newton, Jr. and J. J. Newton; and sisters, Mable O'Brien, Mae Reagan, Aubyn Newton, and Willie Newton.
Bearers will be Danny Stafford, Calvin Cradduck, and Don McCaskill.
