MABLE CLARK
OKLAHOMA CITY-Services for Mable Joeanna Stewart Clark, 94, Oklahoma City, formerly of Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Hammond Heights Church of Christ in Ada, Roy Montgomery, Sr. will officiate. Burial will follow at Athens Cemetery.
Mrs. Clark died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born August 29, 1915 at Saratoga, Arkansas to Will Stewart and Nazrene Hopkins Stewart.
She married Jack Johnson Clark on May 16, 1942 at Madill, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 15, 1985 at Ada. During his service in the Army/Air Force, they traveled across the United States. After Jack retired from the military, they moved to Ada, Oklahoma. Mrs. Clark was a housekeeper and a longtime active member of Hammond Heights Church of Christ for many years. When she moved to Oklahoma City, she attended the Estes Park Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Jacklyn Watson and husband Larry, Oklahoma City; a grandson, Kenyatta "Ken" Clark and wife Torayia, Oklahoma City; two granddaughters, Krissy Dorsey and Roberta Dorsey, Oklahoma City; seven great grandchildren, Kristopher Dorsey, Kino Martin, Trinity Martin, Jackson Clark, Morgan Clark, Lauryn Clark and Jaylen Willis; a brother, Lewis Edward Crosby and wife Aurora, Kansas City, KS.
She was preceded in death by her father, Will Stewart, her sister, Carrie Stewart, her mother, Nazrene Stewart, her brother, Aubrey Stewart and husband, Jack Clark.
Bearers will be Edward Dindy, Marvin Carrethers, Alan Hightower, Richard Marshall, Donald Aaron and Leroy Gilespie. Flower bearers will be Dorthine Dindy, Tia Swearingen, Doris Hightower, Laquetta Goss, Dee Dee Dollison and Arlene Jones.
