M. L. LASHBROOK
STONEWALL-Services for Maurice Lozelle "M.L." Lashbrook, 90, Stonewall, are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Union Valley Baptist Church, Rev. Randall Christy will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall.
Mr. Lashbrook died Sunday, September 19, 2010 at a Norman hospital. He was born August 20, 1920 at Brown County, Illinois to Samuel Alfred and Merle Vertreese Stewart Lashbrook. He received an honorary high school diploma from Stonewall High School.
He married Mary LaNelle McCurley on August 18, 1946. She preceded him in death in 1991. Mr. Lashbrook was a self-employed Bee Keeper and a member of Union Valley Baptist Church where he served as Deacon. He was a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a 32degree Mason and a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star. He was also a Boy Scout Leader and President of the Southeast Oklahoma Bee Keeper Association. Mr. Lashbrook served in the U. S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include two sons, John Lashbrook and wife Kris, Stonewall, and Keith Lashbrook, Ada; a brother, Francis Lashbrook, Mulvane, KS; a brother-in-law, George McCurley, Rutledge, TN; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary LaNelle; and a daughter, Katherine LaNelle.
Bearers will be his two sons and four grandsons.
