LURLINE FISHER
ADA-Private graveside services for Lurline Inez Fisher, 92, Ada, will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Fisher died Monday, October 22, 2007 at a local nursing home. She was born December 10, 1914 at Guthrie, Oklahoma to James Hugh and Mary Melissa Weir.
She married R. D. Fisher, a longtime employee of the Ada Evening News, on July 26, 1936 at Wewoka, Oklahoma. He died June 21, 1995. Mrs. Fisher was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Darryl Fisher, Oklahoma City; grandsons, Eric Scott Fisher, Oklahoma City, and Sam Leonard; granddaughters, Laura Fisher-Clark, Phoenix, Arizona, Mollie Leonard Hart, Norman, and Sara Leonard Doyle, Norman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Thomas Gerald who died in infancy in 1942 and a daughter, Karen Jeanne Fisher-Leonard, Esq. in 2001.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the First Baptist Church of Ada, 521 South Broadway, Ada, OK 74820; the East Central University Foundation, c/o East Central University, P. O. Box Y-8, Ada, OK 74821; or a charity of choice.
