EDNA NIPPS
ADA-Services for Edna Nipps, 83, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Chapel, Rev. Earl Hood will officiate. Burial will follow at New Bethel Cemetery in Byng. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Nipps died Saturday, July 13, 2013 at a local nursing home. She was born May 1, 1930 in Sasakwa, Oklahoma to Matthew and Gracie Batton Eberle. She moved to Ada in 1948.
She married W. L. "Toots" Nipps on September 1, 1948. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1993. Mrs. Nipps was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Ada Retirement Center until her retirement. She was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Nipps and wife Joyce of Ada, and Benny Nipps and Cathy of Ada; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and special friend, Betty Smith of Ada.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Sandra Jo Anglin; a grandson, Benny Wayne Nipps; 7 sisters; and 8 brothers.
Bearers will be Jared Nipps, Kenny Moore, Joe Tingle, Ronnie Parks, Ronnie Anglin and Wayne Christian.
