Lucy McDaniel

Services for Lucy McDaniel, 78, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Laredo, are 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 20 ^th at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ada, Father Aaron Foshee will officiate. Burial will follow at Maxwell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.

She passed peacefully with her children by her side on Monday, December 17, 2018.

She was born on September 6, 1940 to Mario and Margarita Meza of Laredo, TX. She graduated from Ursuline Academy and continued her education to become an English teacher after receiving her teaching degree from Texas Women's University in 1961.

She was happily married to Billy McDaniel on March 15, 1991 until his death on February 18, 2017.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Graciela Meza; her husband, Billy McDaniel; and her son, Ricardo David Martinez.

Lucy was survived by two children; son, Gilberto Martinez, Jr., wife Priscilla, and daughter, Lucy Lynn Towle, husband James; along with her beloved grandchildren, Brianna, Zachery, Alysha, Colby, Philip and Kirstin; and her brothers, Jerry Meza, Mario Meza and Roberto Meza and their families.
