Services for Louise Walker Marrs, 88, of Connerville are 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2023 at Criswell Funeral Home. Rev. Randy Wade and Mr. Russell Horn will officiate. Burial will follow at the Johnson Family Cemetery. A wake service will be Thursday, February 16 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Criswell Funeral Home.
Rev. Louise Walker Marrs passed away early Sunday morning at Ballards Nursing Home in Ada, OK on February 12, 2023. She was born on February 18, 1934 to John Walker and Celia Johnson in Pontotoc County. She married Eugene Dale Marrs on April 21, 1967. Rev. Louise Walker Marrs was of the Pentecostal faith and pastored Rose Assembly Full Gospel Church in Ada, OK with co-pastor Charlene Holden.
Rev. Louise Walker Marrs worked at McCalls Chapel School and Autumn Years. Rev. Louise Walker Marrs enjoyed going to singings and holding revivals.
Rev. Louise walker Marrs is survived by her son, Eugene Marrs, Jr., Connerville; two grandsons, Michael Markcum, Ada and Richard Markcum, OKC; three granddaughters, Pilar Faye Silva, Ada, Richenda Silva, Ada, and Taylor Marrs, Ada. Five great granddaughters, Tiara Markcum, OKC, Autumn Markcum, OKC, Nyla and Kyra, Ada, and Alara Silva, Ada; five great grandsons, Richard Markcum, Jr., OKC, Brandon Markcum, Ada, Ryan Markcum, OKC, Hunter Marshall, Ada, and Rylan Silva-Hathaway, Ada; four great great grandsons; two great great granddaughters; one brother, Bill Alexander, Amber; and two sisters, Delores Alexander, Midwest City, and Irene Banks, OKC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rev. Louise Walker Marrs was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Dale Marrs; one daughter, Edith Faye Silva; three brothers, Dean Samuel Walker, Edwin Alexander, and Jimmy Walker; and five sisters, Wanda Alexander, Viola Jim, Norma Johnson, Charlene Vasquez, and Darlene Alexander Meeks.
Bearers are Joseph Wolf, Ricky Walker, Dondy Alexander, Alvin Alexander, Hunter Marshall and Chris Alexander. Honorary bearers are Isaiah Little, Carlin Thompson and David Fort.
