LOUISE CURRIER
ADA-Services for Martha Louise Currier, 79, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Currier died Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at a local hospital. She was born January 9, 1931 at Ada, Oklahoma to Egbert and Orbie Acrey Wallis.
She married Lloyd Willis Currier. He preceded her in death in 1962. Mrs. Currier was the former owner and operator of Parkview Café and the Hamburger King in Ada. She also worked at Brockway Glass Company. Mrs. Currier attended Bible Baptist Church in Ada.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Laxton, Ada; a son, Lloyd Franklin Currier and wife Jennifer, Ada; two sisters, Eva Wallis, Ada, and Jo Wilfong, Henryetta, TX; a brother, Delbert Wallis, Byng; four grandchildren, Stacey Lyda, Ada, Nova Currier, Ada, Lloyd N. Currier, Ada, and Nina Currier, Ada; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Mary Currier in 2000; five brothers, Bud Wallis, Glen Wallis, Bittie Wallis, Floyd Wallis, and Bert Wallis; and three sisters, Dovie Lancaster, Barbara Roundtree, and Juanita Wallis.
Bearers will be Shawn Lyda, John Mann, Devin Speers, Daniel Johnson, William Cook and Joe Cook. Honorary bearer is Johnny Henderson..
