Lorice Bennett Johnston

Lorice Bennett Johnston, 94, formally of Ada, passed away January 1, 2026, in Broken Arrow.  She was born October 12, 1931, in Stonewall to William and Alma Parker Bennett.

On June 10, 1950, she married Tanner Ward Johnston.  They were married for 73 years until Tanner's death in 2023.  Lorice worked in retail for many years at different stores in Ada.  At the time of her retirement, Lorice was employed at Penny's.

Survivors include her two sons, Pete Johnston and wife Lisa of Ada and Darrell Johnston and wife Ronna of Porter; daughter, Tandy Witherspoon and husband Gary of Edmond; six grandchildren, Ryan Witherspoon, Brad Witherspoon, Lacy LaFevers, Shay Mullins, Mark Johnston, and Kevin Johnston; one great granddaughter; and five great grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A private burial will be held at the Lula Cemetery at a later date.
