BERNIECE TURNER

ADA-Services for Lorene Berniece Turner, 88, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Ray Talbott will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Turner died Sunday, August 23, 2009 at a local nursing home. She was born Janaury 4, 1921 near Vanoss, Oklahoma to Pleas and Lou Stidham Richardson. She attended Vanoss school.

She married J. W. Turner on February 14, 1942 in Ada, Oklahoma. Mrs. Turner was a homemaker and a long time member of Oak Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, J. W. Turner, of the home; a son, John Turner and wife Glenda, Ada; three daughters, Jean Crockett and husband Ben, Ripley, Christine Frantz and husband Mike, Boerne, TX, and Lorene Perkins and husband Ed, Atwood; a sister, Mary Lou Covert, Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Carol and Clay Briegge, Perry, Alan and Jennifer Crockett, Ardmore, Mark and Karen Crockett, Denton, TX, Amy and Devon Lambert, San Antonio, TX, Melissa Frantz, Boerne, TX, Rebekah and Spencer Ulm, Baltimore, MD, and Edmon Perkins, Mt. Rainier, MD; great grandchildren, Austin Allen, Perry, Katylyn and Ashyln Briegge, Perry, Coleton, Kaylyn and Tanner Crockett, Ardmore, and Caleb, Maggie and Creed Crockett, Denton, TX.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Marie Alford, Flora Shumard, Helen Richardson, Florence Webb, Ruby Gurley, Sue Johnson, Clark Richardson, P. J. Richardson, Joe Richardson and Percy Richardson.

Bearers will be John Turner Jr., Ed Perkins, Ben Crockett, Mike Frantz, Alan Crockett, Mark Crockett, Clay Briegge, Spencer Ulm, and Edmon Perkins.
