ADA-Memorial services for Lorene Hughes, 75, of Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the First Baptist Church, Ada, Rev. Harold Ware officiating.
Mrs. Hughes died Thursday, April 19, 2012 at a local nursing home. She was born August 26, 1936 in Bonham, Texas to Thomas Aaron and Easter Grisham Aaron. She attended Bonham schools and graduated from East Central University.
She married Macon Hughes on August 10, 1978. Mrs. Hughes was employed as a substitute teacher and special education assistant for Stratford and Ada schools. She was a member of the First Christian Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and First Christian Church Choir.
Survivors include her husband, Macon Hughes, of the home; a son, Mark Clark and wife Nancy of Austin, Texas; a daughter, Deborah Vogt and husband David of Ada; two sisters, Agnes Mullins of Greenville, Texas and Barbara Haney of Rovena, Texas; a brother Thomas Aaron of Bonham, Texas; seven grandchildren, Weston Harris, Caroline Harris, Paul Harris, Will Vogt, Jared Vogt, Jacob Vogt and Ryan Watts.
