LORENE COPE
ADA-Services for Lorene Cope, 92, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Central Church of Christ, Bud Ross and Tyler Cope will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Ms. Cope died Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at a local nursing home. She was born May 24, 1921 in Ada, Oklahoma to Homer Stilwell and Vetrice Nichols Stilwell. She attended grade school at Pickett and completed high school at Ada. Ms. Cope also attended East Central University.
She worked as a book keeper. Ms. Cope was an active member of the Central Church of Christ in Ada.
Survivors include two daughters, Charlene Smith of Tulsa, OK, and Anita Martin and her husband Tony of Phoenix, AZ; one son, Bennie Cope and his wife Valerie of Ada, OK; Seven grandchildren, Ben Smith of Oklahoma City, OK, Lindsay Smith of Tulsa, OK, Dean Martin of Arizona, Alicia Perkins of Austin, TX, Katelyn Tyler of Stillwater, OK, Tyler Cope of Wichita Falls, TX, and Susan Cope of Ada, OK; three great grandchildren, Preston Perkins of Austin, TX, Chase Perkins of Austin, TX, and McKennon Tyler of Stillwater, OK, as well as many other friends and relatives.
Ms. Cope was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Eldon Stilwell and Carl Stilwell, son-in-law, Dwight Smith, and great grandson, Austin Martin.
Pallbearers will be Bob Hester, Bill Adams, Todd Crabtree, Bill Nelson, Wayne Roark, and Corry Tyler.
