LONNIE JOHNSON

ADA-Services for Lonnie Dale Johnson, 61, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Morris Memorial Baptist Church, Rev. Gary Jamar will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnson died Monday, March 9, 2009 at a local hospital. He was born July 10, 1947 in Torrance, California. He was reared by his mother Minnie Johnson King and step father, James King.

He married Pam Jones on April 6, 1968 at Las Vegas, Nevada. He and his family moved to this area in 1972 from Torrance, California. Mr. Johnson owned Johnson Heat and Air and was a member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church. He served in the U. S. Army from 1968 until 1969 during the Vietnam Era. He was a charter member of the Combat Infantry Association.

Survivors include his wife, Pam Johnson, of the home; one son, John Johnson, Ada; two daughters, Lonna Andrews and husband Anthony, Ada, and Billie Johnson, Ada; two grandchildren, Ethan Johnson and Erionna Andrews; his mother, Minnie King, Ada; two sisters, Stephanie King, Ada, and Joyce King, Ada; a brother, James King, Baton Rouge, LA; four half sister in California; an uncle and aunt, Bobbie and Colleen Johnson, Ada.

He was preceded in death by his step father, James King, and a brother, Dennis Johnson.

Bearers will be Creig Sexton, Charles Ingram, Felix Perez, Joe Johnson, Sonny Wolfenbarger, and Loren Hampton. Honorary bearers will be Roger Hoppe, John Alvarado, Bobbie Johnson, Robert Alvarado, Richard Johnson, Brian Johnson, Jared Johnson, Adam Johnson and Dustin Bain.
