A celebration of life for Londa Beth Johnson, 72, of Ada will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Chris Whisenant will officiate.

Mrs. Johnson passed away April 23, 2022 at a Norman, OK hospital.  She was born November 21, 1949 in Ada, OK to Levi and Clarice Johnston McLaughlin.

Londa moved to the Ada area with her parents when she was 12 years old.  She graduated from Latta high School in 1968.  Londa began her college studies at East Central University.  She married her high school sweetheart Jimmy Lancaster.  They had two children, daughter, Gayla and son, Brad.  Tragically Jimmy died in 1977.  Londa finished her college studies in Human Resources, Counseling and Sociology, achieving her master's degree and ending her career while serving as the Pontotoc County Drug Court Administrator.  Prior to that Londa had worked as a Legal Secretary for Tommy Landrith.

One of her most fun and rewarding jobs was when she worked at the Pontotoc County Court Clerk's office.

Londa married Dr. Byron Johnson and they had a wonderful life as they blended families to include Byron's children, Amanda and Chris.  Byron also preceded her in death.

She later married Latta Alum. Roger Elliott, who passed away in 2017.

Londa is survived by her daughter, Gayla Hunter, son, Brad Lancaster, both of Ada.  She is also survived by granddaughters, Bethany Parker and husband Hunter, Tupelo, Savanna Hunter, Tupelo, and grandson, Jas Hunter of Tupelo; two great granddaughters, Ava and Anna and great grandson, Mason of Tupelo; mother-in-law, Anna Lancaster, Purcell and many other family and friends.

Londa was also preceded in death by her parents: two brothers, Max and Jack Wolverton and other family.
