No services are planned at this time for Lois Gay (Hussey) Stevens, 93, of Ada. She passed away June 13, 2024 in Ada at Featherstone Assisted Living Center.
Born September 6, 1930 to G.G. & Lucinda Myers Hussey in Gilmore City, Iowa. She moved as a young child to Ada, OK. Mrs. Stevens attended elementary school at "The Little Red School House" when it was located west of Ada. She graduated from Ada High School in 1948.
She married the love of her life, Dois Ray Stevens, January 1, 1948. Dois Ray and Lois Gay Stevens were happily married for 75 years.
Together they raised 3 children and enjoyed 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Survived by her daughter, Kay Stevens Shaw and her husband, Richard of Ada; granddaughters, Kari Stevens White and husband, Sean of Sudbury, MA, and Brandi Shaw Bowman and husband, Matt of Littleton, CO; grandsons, Derek G. Stevens and wife, Cara of Medina, OH and Ryan D. Shaw and wife, Melissa of Ada, Jeremy Cox and wife, Shelia of Austin, TX; great grandchildren, Audrey, Harleigh, and Diane White, of Sudbury, MA, Jace, Dylan, and Kyler Stevens, of Medina, OH, Abigail Shaw of Ada, Charlotte Bowman of Littleton, CO, and Zachary and Bailey Cox of Austin, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son and daughter-in-law, Grant and Diane Stevens; daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Chris Tirey; and great grandson, Andrew Cox.
The family would like to give a big "Thank You" to all the staff at Featherstone Assisted Living and to the staff at Centric Hospice for the care and love of our mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
