LOIS RHYNES
ADA-Services for Lois Fay Rhynes, 87, of Ada, are 10:00 A.M. Saturday, at Trinity Baptist Church, Rev. Frank Trent and Rev. David Gray will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rhynes died Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at a local nursing home. She was born February 21, 1926 at Ada, Oklahoma to Walter and Josie Fortenberry McAnally. She attended school at Union Hill and Walnut Grove.
She married James "Red" Rhynes on May 16, 1942 in Ada. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1997. Mrs. Rhynes was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.
Survivors include her children, Junior Rhynes and wife Sandra, Phil Rhynes and wife Cheryl, Monnie Cooper and husband Matt, Terry Newcomb and husband Glen, and Tim Rhynes and wife Becky, all of Ada; 12 grandchildren, Michelle and Jimmy Hill, Austin, TX; Jeannia and Burt Page, Ada, Travis Rhynes, Ada, Christopher and Lisa Rhynes, Ada, Daniel and Myleah Rhynes, Denton,Texas, Julie and Steve Alexander, San Francisco, CA, Heath and Tracy Allison, Ada, Chad and Sarah Allison, Dallas, TX, Tammy Wilkerson, Ada, Jamie and Rock Rodebush, Ada, Addison Rhynes, Ada and Garrett Rhynes, Ada; 19 great grandchildren, Sierra and McKinlee Hill, Austin, TX; Shane, Shale and Shannon Page, Ada; Maximus, Xander and Xavri Rhynes, Ada; Morgen, Meadow and J. J. Rhynes, Denton,Texas; Tatum and Peyton Alexander, San Francisco, CA; Tristan and Daryn Allison, Ada; Destin Wilkerson, Ada; Jolee, Jaycee and Rhylee Rodebush, Ada; three brothers, Alvin McAnally, Wayne McAnally and Bill McAnally, all of Ada; and a sister, Verna Lou Tatum of Ada.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Pearl Allen, Evelyn Rhynes, and Hazel Henson; one brother, Gary McAnally; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, J. J. and Mary Rhynes.
Bearers will be her grandsons, Travis Rhynes, Christopher Rhynes, Daniel Rhynes, Heath Allison, Chad Allison and Garrett Rhynes.
