LINDA MURRAY
ADA-Memorial services for Linda Kay Murray, 66, of Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church. Rev. David Daniel will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Murray died Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at her home. She was born July 31, 1946 at Idabel, Oklahoma to Earl and Mary Lee Durham. She graduated from Broken Bow High School, received a Bachelor of Art degree from East Central University and a Master of Arts degree in Flute Performance from the University of Oklahoma.
She married Duane Murray on August 30, 1969 in Ada. Mrs. Murray was a homemaker and gifted musician and music instructor. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ada.
Survivors include her husband, Duane Murray, of the home; three sons, Sean Murray of Fredericksburg, TX, Zac Murray and his wife Brittany of Dallas, TX and Scott Murray of Austin, TX; a sister, Brenda Scaggs and her husband Charlie of Eagletown, OK; and a brother, Mike Durham and his wife Donna, Broken Bow, OK; one granddaughter, Isabella; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Honorary bearers will be Geoff Moon, Brian Sullivan, Derrick Harvey, Robert Ingram, Russell Vestal, Darryl Hester, Milton VanDusen, Mike Harvey, Daniel Rhynes, Tyler McBee, Scott Baumgartner, Tommy Landrith, Kenny Wamble, David Fisher, P. J. Newby, Felix Frasier and Larry Vandiver.
