Lillie Mae Lewis
Henryetta-Services for Lillie Mae Lewis, 84, of Henryetta, formerly of Jesse, are 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Yellow Springs Church, Revs. Randy Wade and Lester Tims will officiate. Burial will follow at Yellow Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Lewis passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at a Muskogee hospital. She was born January 20, 1932 near Jesse to William and Clara Allen Gipson. Lillie was full-blood Chickasaw Citizen. She attended Pleasant Hill grade school and received an Associate's Degree in Science from Connor's State College in Warner in 1988.
She married David Lewis, Jr. March 2, 1957 in Las Vegas, NV. He preceded her in death in 2015. She and her family moved to Henryetta about 1970. Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker and a longtime member of Yellow Springs Church.
Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Lewis of Henryetta and Richard Lewis of Ada; a daughter, Diane Jobe of Edmond; one sister, Winnie James of Anaheim, CA; six grandchildren, Richay Brennan of Purcell, Gloria Jobe of Tulsa, Jefferey Lewis of Ada, Krystle Lewis of McLoud, Jordan Lewis of Ada and Johnathan Lewis of Henryetta; three great-grandchildren, Quinton Buck of Purcell, Aiden Prather of McLoud and Peighton Lewis of Ada.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters, Sharon Lewis and Patricia Lewis; and three brothers, Andrew Gipson, Leonard Gipson and Wilson Brown.
Bearers will be Richard Lewis, Ronnie Lewis, Johnathan Lewis, Darrell Gipson, Jordan Lewis and Michael Factor. Honorary bearer will be Phillip Williams.
