Lexie Davis

Memorial services for Lexie "Lecky" Marie Davis, 19, of Ada will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the Life Community Church, 330 East 14th street in Ada. Daniel Shinault will officiate.

Lexie went to be with the Lord on February 3rd, 2020 while at her home with her mom, Arron VanBuskirk, her brother, Tanner and his fiancee, Razia, Lexie's little sister Makenzie, and her faithful dog and best friend, Cowboy.

She first blessed the world with her presence when she was born on May 25th, 2000. She graduated from Ada High. Lexie played the sax in the Ada High Marching Band, enjoyed performing arts no matter how small her part was, and she always gave her best and never missed a rehearsal unless cancer prevented her from being there. Many times she fought through her battles with cancer because she didn't want anyone to be disappointed in her. Lexie always made it her goal to make those around her feel special, and she was always happiest when those she loved most were also happy.

Lexie attended church regularly three times a week. She wanted to learn as much as possible and was always down to experience new things. She loved spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed playing her ukulele, bonfires with family, animals of all kinds, musicals, working-out, going to the sauna with her mom, taking Cowboy to the dog park, and so much more. She was always there for her friends to cheer them up when they were feeling down or just going through a hard time. She always put others' needs before her own and she never complained or felt sorry for herself because of her diagnoses or the hand that life dealt her. She was the most loyal person that the world has ever met. She was overly kind and forgiving, even when people didn't deserve her forgiveness.

Lexie loved to laugh and write daily puns on the refrigerator to brighten her family's day. Lexie always kept her faith in God and never questioned his plan for her life. She knew, without a doubt, she would be going to heaven. She brought love and kindness to everyone she met and to every situation in life. If everyone could #LIVELIKELEXIE, the world would be a better place.

Lexie leaves behind her mom, Arron VanBuskirk; her brother Tanner and his fiancee Razia; her little sister Makenzie of Ada; her granny, Lavon VanBuskirk of Talco, Texas; and her extended family, Keith, Jenny, and Adalyn Speer of Edmond and Marvin, Marietta, and Matt Carter of Ada.
