LEWIS BUTLER
ADA-Graveside services for Lewis Edward Butler, 72, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Denison Cemetery, in Idabel, Rev. Donald Ray Jones officiating. Choctaw Honor Guard will perform military honors at the cemetery.
Mr. Butler died on Saturday, August 9, 2008, in an Oklahoma City nursing home. He was born March 9, 1936, at America, near Tom, Oklahoma, to Roy Steven and Helen Butler. He moved to Ada in 2002 from Oklahoma City, where he was a truck driver for Pioneer Trucking in Oklahoma City. He was affiliated with High Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include an aunt, Hazel Williston, Idabel; two half-sisters, Darlene Chalfant, Idabel; and Deliah Wilson, Idabel; a daughter, Cheryl Brown, Oklahoma City; a son, Richard Williston, Idabel; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Ensie Brown and Ellis Butler.
