LETIA BUTLER
ADA-Services for Letia Lillian Butler, 90, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, Revs. David Daniel, Bob Langston and Dr. Roberto Escamilla will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Butler died Saturday, January 22, 2011 at an Ada assisted living center. She was born November 26, 1920 in Hunt, Arkansas to E. D. and Allie Stewart Willey. She graduated from Clarksville, Arkansas High School in 1938 and Draughn's Business School in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
She married Lloyd Lincoln Butler on December 10, 1939 at Antlers, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 12, 1997 in Ada. Mrs. Butler was the office manager for Bentley and Haunschild Transport Company until her retirement. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Ruth Rachel Circle, Mature Fellowship, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Ada Garden Club. She was a member of the Ada Hobo's and was a volunteer for Ballard Nursing Home.
Survivors include a daughter, Loyleta Cacy and her husband Jerry, Ada; three sons, Kenneth Butler and his wife Yvonne, Ada, Charles W. Butler and his wife Sharon, Denver, CO, and Norman Butler and his wife Judy, Bonham, TX; a brother, Stewart Willey, Clarksville, AR; a sister, Janis Harris, Ada; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, E. M. Willey.
Bearers will be her grandsons, Shannon Butler, Anthony Butler, Mica Cacy, Guy Butler, Russell Butler and Kyle Butler. Honorary bearers will be Patrick Bruton, Cliff Thurman, Don Griffith, Jon Parker, and Michael Murphy.
