LEORA SEALY
ADA-Services for Leora Sealy, 84, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Baptist Church, Rev. Toney Buck and Bill Frazier will officiate. Burial will follow at Sandy Cemetery, near Sulphur.
Mrs. Sealy died Saturday, February 2, 2008 at a local hospital. She was born November 16, 1923 at Connerville, Oklahoma to Iverson and Ida Ned Alexander. She attended Bloomfield Academy and Carter Seminary in Ardmore.
She married Emerson Lee Sealy on February 26, 1945 at Ada, Oklahoma. He died November 16, 1990. Mrs. Sealy was a cook for the Chickasaw Nation Head Start Program, a member of Oak Grove Indian Baptist Church in Roff, and a former member of the W.M.U.
Survivors include two daughters, Della Miller and husband Alvis, Ada, and Robin Fulsom and husband Weldon, Ada; grandchildren, Billy Martin, Jr., Ada, Lisa Myers, Oklahoma City, Krystal Myers, Ada, Richard Myers, Seminole, Oscar Worcester, Cushing, and Char Johnson, Ada; six great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Charlie Carter, Connerville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Andrew Alexander, and two sisters, Pearline Carter and Virgie James.
Bearers will be Ray Meely, Buster Greenwood, Larry Colbert, Jay Mule, Douglas Worcester, and Jade John. Honorary bearers will be Edison Sealy, Dale Parker, and Gary Harrison.
