Tony Cushenberry, Jr.

Services for Leonard Joshua "Hollywood" Cushenberry, Jr., 67, of Ada are 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Rev. Joshua Summers will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.

Leonard Joshua Cushenberry, Jr. "Hollywood" was born April 18, 1949 in Los Angeles, CA to Leonard and Vera Dell Cushenberry. He graduated from Dorsey High School in California. He joined the Marines in 1967, and he worked for the City of Los Angeles as an events bus driver and a security guard for Wells Fargo.

He moved to Pauls Valley in 1973 and worked as a detailer at Ballard's Car Lot and at the State School as a resident state life aide. He later worked for the City of Pauls Valley and for Haliburton. He then moved to Ada and joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn, of the home; a daughter, Elvia Mitchell of the home; three daughters, Katina Cushenberry and Jamie Davis (Marcoe) and Kimberly Glover (Woody); a son, Steven Anderson (Dana) and their mother, Pearlie Mae Anderson; one brother, Leon Edwards (Denise) of Los Angeles and one aunt, Emma Nancy of Los Angeles; six grandchildren, Whitney and Kennedy Glover, Zoey and Seth Anderson, Aniya and Decaprieal Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Leo Cushenberry and his cousin, Freddy Thomas.

"Tony" will be greatly missed by his friends, family and those who have met him. He will always be remembered for his wit, laughter and joking ways.
