Leona Seckinger

Services for Leona Mae Seckinger, 81, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 8 ^th at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Hazel Wallace will officiate. Burial will follow at Steedman Cemetery, east of Ada. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Seckinger passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at an assisted living center. She was born June 25, 1937 at Steedman to Gipson and Julie Alexander Johnson.

Mrs. Seckinger worked with the Chickasaw Nation in various departments. She worked at the Early Childhood Headstart Center as one of the first "foster grandparents"; Ada Senior Site; and hostess at the Ada Gaming Center. She loved working with children and greeting people.

Survivors include three daughters, Sandra LaGuardia, Margie Hyland and Kalthleen Jones; a son, Ricky Johnson; nine grandchildren, Ashley Duque, Brittany Woodard, Stephanie Seckinger, Heather Thompson, Bradley Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Charles Eddy, Patric Eddy and Katerea Runnels.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wesley Seckinger; and two daughters, Angie Johnson and Norma Thompson.

Mrs. Seckinger loved all her family including nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.

Bearers will be Andrew Harjo, Justin Neeley, Jason Neeley, Randall Johnson, Travis Howry and Jairo Duque. Honorary bearers will be Irvin LaGuardia, Jimmie Jones, David Jackson and Paul Hyland.
